COMMITMENT TO STABILITY
Woodland Trails became a very sought out community as the City of Houston expanded into the North West area of Harris County some 40+ years ago. North Houston Rosslyn Rd. was nothing but a two-lane asphalt road until just 30 years ago. The only way to get from hwy 249 (149 back then) to 290 was to come down NHR, which created a large slow down trying to get to work. It could take upwards of thirty minutes to get to Hwy 290 (at that time ended at Bingle) and 15 minutes from there to 610. Even though it seems slow at times now at least there are other alternate routes to help navigate the traffic. The surrounding communities have grown and changed over the years but Woodland Trails has maintained its self as a viable place to live.
This was achieved primarily by its residence desire to adhere to the values that created their community as a home. And through that commitment Woodland Trails is a proud example of the values that brought it where it is today. Many homeowners have raised their children here and are looking forward to this as their retirement community. New families have chosen Woodland Trails for that very same reason some 40 + years later.
